Evidence builds that meditation strengthens the brain: UCLA researchers

We wish to share an interesting news article that was released by the researchers at UCLA (University of California Los Angeles) Those researchers had found evidence that long term Meditation leads to thickening and folding of the Brain in a beneficial way and also strengthens the connections between the brain cells. Especially the increased ‘folding’ has been associated with improved processing of information, improvement in decision making and forming memories.

They found this evidence among those who have consistently meditated for more than 20 years.

These findings are quite important and relevant especially in the case of those who start to meditate at a young age. If such young people maintain a regular practice they would start to reap the aforementioned benefits especially when they approach the most active years of their life as workers, parents and adults.
