Anapanasati Sutta was selected by Ven. Panadure Chandaratana Thero as the next Sutta for Sutta Teachings in English on 24 November 2021.  Anapanasati Sutta is a well celebrated Sutta based on the development of Mindfulness and Wisdom through the awareness of breath.

The ultimate goal of Anapanasati is to develop insight and understanding into the Four Foundations of Mindfulness (Satipaṭṭhāna), the Seven Factors of Awakening (Bojjhangas), and finally Nibbana.

  1. I just wanted to offer my sincere appreciation and gratitude for this gift of supreme Dhamma you are giving here on his website. I was a samanera and bhikhhu for 3 years in Sri Lanka in the early 1980s and did not have such clear instruction as this. Now approaching retirement my hope is to retire to Sri Lanka so I can attend to these wonderful teachings in person! Thank you for this Dhamma service.
