We are pleased to inform you of a 14-day residential meditation retreat commencing 10 October 2014 and ending 23 October 2014. 

Designed for yogis based overseas and in Sri Lanka, the residential retreat will be conducted at the Mitirigala Nissarana Vanaya Meditation Centre (Sri Lanka) under the guidance of the Chief Preceptor and experienced meditation master, Most Venerable U Dhammajiva Maha Thero

The retreat will:

  • Be in the Theravada Buddhist Tradition
  • Progress in adherence to the traditional eight precepts and noble silence
  • Focus on the Satipatthana meditation practice, involving both Samatha and Vipassana meditation techniques
  • Include a daily schedule of alternative periods of sitting and walking meditation, an evening dhamma talk, interviews with the teacher and Q&A sessions.
