We are pleased to provide valuable advice on handling strong emotions during meditation retreats. This was given during a Q&A session by Most Ven. U. Dhammajiva Maha Thero at a recent meditation retreat conducted in Canada.
We consider this to be important due to the following reasons;
- Yogis could get such strong emotions during intensive retreats. Most teachers don’t tackle the issue effectively. In this case the advice provided here is quite useful and practical.
- Yogis could face such situations even when they are away from intensive retreat environments and this advice would be still useful to them.
- This method further reinforces the complementary nature of walking and sitting meditation practices.
