Handling Strong Emotions.

We are pleased to provide valuable advice on handling strong emotions during meditation retreats. This was given during a Q&A session by Most Ven. U. Dhammajiva Maha Thero at a recent meditation retreat conducted in Canada.

We consider this to be important due to the following reasons;

  1. Yogis could get such strong emotions during intensive retreats. Most teachers don’t tackle the issue effectively. In this case the advice provided here is quite useful and practical.
  2. Yogis could face such situations even when they are away from intensive retreat environments and this advice would be still useful to them.
  3. This method further reinforces the complementary nature of walking and sitting meditation practices.
