Compassion: Bridging Practice and Science – A Free multimedia E-Book

We are pleased to present to you a distinguished free e-book on compassion titled Compassion: Bridging Practice and Science’. The book is the result of a workshop organized by Dr. Tania Singer and included some of the world’s top Buddhist scholars and teachers, scientists and representatives from various centers doing compassion based training and research. Tania Singer (PhD) is the Director of the Department for Social Neuroscience at the Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Science. The book explores different forms of compassion practice; incorporate theoretical concepts from psychological, Buddhist and evolutionary points of view; and covers many of the newest empirical findings and secular training programs that are now emerging.

The book is an 880 page multimedia masterpiece best viewed on an iPad. However there is a version available for Kindle and I have included that as well as the PDF version of the book. The original link I received from Mind and Life Institute is no longer available and hence I couldn’t download the version for the iPad. The iPad version will be posted as soon as it becomes available.

It is important to watch the introductory video done by Dr Singer prior to downloading the e-book.
