Dasuttara Sutta – Part 38

Vatadageya at Polonnaruwa

Most Ven. U. Dhammajiva Maha Thero continued on his long series on Dasuttara Sutta by conducting the 38th part during end March 2017. It was held at Mitirigala Nissaranavanaya Forest Monastery during a five days residential retreat.

The Maha Thero teaches about the සප්ත ආර්ය ධන in this 38th part of Dasuttara Sutta.

Dasuttara is the last (thirty fourth) Sutta of the Digha Nikaya, preached by Arahanth Sariputta at the Gaggarapokkharani in Campa, in the presence of the Lord Buddha. It consists of groups of doctrines – ten single doctrines, ten twofold doctrines, and so on up to ten tenfold (D.iii.272). It is said  that at the end of the discourse five hundred monks became Arahants.
